“…joy like a kid on Christmas day…”

Cory Demyan is one of five students who completed Basic Induction at Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland, in Perry, Ohio, on March 22, 2012, and then moved on to Teen Challenge International Mid America, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for the Advanced Training Phase.

The testimony of Cory Demyan…

“My name is Cory Demyan, and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I have been delivered from heroin addiction and a life of sin because of the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross. Many people probably would not recognize me today, mainly because I am a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
“My old ways of thinking have left, and I now fill my brain with Scripture memorization and prayer time. I spend much of my free time hanging out with my God. Only a holy, perfect God would be able to save me from the life I was living. I had tried many times on my own to
stop what I was doing. The problem was I was trying on my own.
“You see, in order to be truly set free, you need to completely submit and admit you can’t do it. It is in that instance of desperation that Jesus Christ can begin a good work in you. Today I have a joy like a kid on Christmas day. I have peace like the stillest night and a confidence that is in my God. Nothing can separate me from His love (Romans 8:38-39). I know that as long as I
continue in this journey with Jesus Christ, I have nothing to fear. He promises to always be with me and to help me in my times of trouble.
“I am so grateful for Teen Challenge, where miracles truly do happen. I am just one example of the power of Jesus Christ. All He needs is a willing mind and an open heart. Mix that in with a little faith, and He transforms lives from the worst sinner to a new man in Christ, from broken lives to solid foundations, from shattered dreams to having a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
“His name is Jesus Christ, and He is real!”

Why wait? Put your trust in JESUS today!

ABC'S of Salvation

Knowing your sins are forgiven and you are ready for heaven is as simple as following these steps:

  • A. Admit you have sinned.

    • "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8)

  • B. Believe in the Savior (JESUS).

    • "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

  • C. Confess and forsake your sin.

    • "If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
